My Interview with Thomas Windham

Thomas L. Windham

I received a lot of kudos for my article on the March on Washington and while I’m proud of my work, I feel as though I was standing on shoulders of giants, as it were. The power of the article came from the subjects and the historic march, however good a job I did.

Of the three Boulderites I interviewed for the story, I had a particularly impressionable conversation with Thomas Windham.  Dr. Windham is retired now, but he is a relatively important figure in the psychology world and just an intelligent, all-around gem of a person.

For anyone with the time, I edited the audio of our interview into a pleasant NPR-style monologue. He was practically a kid when he attended the March on Washington, but he was clearly affected by it. He’s got some meaningful things to say.
